Village of Merrimac Project:
June 29th – July 10th
Start paving mainline, intersections, and driveways. Locating and raising manholes. Paving finish mat on July 7th and 8th. Finish all concrete work. Finish topsoil and sod placement by July 2nd. Placing traffic signs week of July 6th. Pavement markings July 13th -14th.
For sod care apply about one inch of water 2 to 3 times a week for the first two weeks to keep the sod from shrinking. After the 2nd week, the frequency of soaking may be reduced gradually. This method of watering is necessary for the new roots to develop and anchor the sod. You may begin to mow your new sod towards the end of the second week, but be sure that the sod is firm and reasonably dry at the time.
Access: Limited access from Wisconsin St. to North end of project.
NOTE: Construction operations are all weather dependant and could change.
Have a safe & wonderful 4th of July weekend from all of us at Judy Fish & Associates!
